We start with the work people are already doing, including the workarounds. Those are usually more honest than the slide.

Launch is not the finish.
A product that cannot be operated, explained or changed is not finished. We treat the unglamorous path as part of the build.

Taste is a form of care.
Interfaces, models and infrastructure should be as simple as the problem allows. Extra is not a gift.
How we think about technology
Choose for the problem, then own the choice.
We do not pick a stack because it is fashionable this quarter. We pick it because the team will still be able to run it next year.
The interesting decisions are usually about boundaries: what is shared, what is isolated, what must never be vague. Tools come after that.
